Back to School ~ My Baby is a Senior!

My son is a senior! I was home today, (his 2nd day of school, but we have off) so I got to see him leaving, driving to school, no more school bus! I had a similar feeling when he went to Kindergarten, very melancholy, that was the start of his school years with mommy and this is the end! We had a few rough patches but so far we got through it all. Now College applications start and another part of his life begins, slowly separating from home and getting out on his own. The time flies so quickly and I can't say that enough, make sure you take time in between to smell the flowers, take long walks, hug your kids and don't worry so much about the toilet not being flushed lol Another era in his life means another one in mine as well,( oh wait, I still have the 9 year old lol)

What a whirlwind these last few weeks have been. I am so glad to have today and tomorrow off, just to gather myself. I still have plans for everyday but at least it will be relaxing. The business is going well so far, I will try my hardest to keep the momentum going. I am in the process of searching for people who I believe can do the business well to be my partners, so far I have a few prospects and one ready to come on board! These are exciting times and I will keep you guys posted! I am reading a book about the first year in Network Marketing and it says to stop researching and get to work lol, but I am still going to finish it! I am working too, just at my own pace, strong and steady!

I have no pictures of projects just yet, I made a few cards but nothing post worthy, as soon as I do, I will get on here with them!

Hello my blogger friends, (always remember you were the 1st!) I expect great things to come as I continue on this mission of mine to master the art of blogging! Summer has kicked my blogging to the curb, I have been to the far East,( well not that far,just Bermuda but it is East of here!) and I have been to the far West (5 hours far! all the way to Cabo!) but I am back with a blast and have so much to share.
My News is that I have started a new venture and I am so excited about it! I am working for a company called Arbonne International, (brandy new and still training)

Cabo Vacation

Well this is the beginning of the end of summer, I am back from Cabo and no more vacations planned :( But I had a great time~~ good food, good place, good people, would definitely return! I had some relaxing adventures such as the jazz sunset cruise, so peaceful and we got some great scenic photos I want to make into posters for my office and of course I compromised with Jerry and let him choose an activity as well. It's all about compromise right ? lol anyway his choice~~ ATV'ing ! It was my first time, I thought I was going to die! Going down the steep desert mountains, almost falling into cactus and dead tree branches, all in the name of love I guess....it was an adventure though. Everyone new I was an amateur when I showed up in white shorts and flip flops LMAO, when he showed us how to start the thing with out foot, I was like you have got to be kidding me! We had to lift the pedal with our foot to get it in gear and I had flip flops on! That was longest 3 hours of my life! He also wanted to Zip line and parasail (did I say I was afraid of heights?) I had to draw the line somewhere! Our last activity was the party boat, that was lots of fun! The food was delish! Our favorite place was Desperados, if you go to Cabo that is a must stop! We also found this little taco stand, Gordo Lele's taco stand where you get tacos for $1.50, can't beat that and they were soooo good! Thinking about it now makes me want a taco!

It's been a while, May and June are the busiest times at work and this year I didn't seem to get much time to do what I enjoy, not to mention my camera was broken and I was not happy about that. I managed to fix my camera (I was happy I didn't have to buy another new one!) and I have been the busy camper over the last few months. I recently returned from my cruise to Bermuda with Jordan, it was a nice week and Bermuda was beautiful. I got a lot of reading done because we were at sea for THREE DAYS and the pool was tiny considering the number of people trying to get in it. Check out the picture on the Lido deck and the small pool:

Needless to say I did not get in, but Jordan was like a fish in it EVERYDAY it didn't rain~

Now I am washing clothes and packing for my next trip to Cabo with Jerry! I cannot wait. I promise to be back soon with more pics....really!!!

Update on my no spend month~ to sum it up, it was a complete flop from day 1! LOL I don't know what I was thinking, well it was a good thought but not realistic for me! I will try another month, perhaps in the winter. I am waiting for a sale on Wednesday already and today headed out to one of my favorite stores....so much for my no spending!

I just ordered my camera battery so I am hopeful that I will have something to show you soon. I do have some news though for whoever is reading....I have decided that May will be my "No Spend Month". I will budget a certain amount for gas and minimal for food ( we will have to be creative with what's in the house) and I vow not to spend anything on impulse purchases for the entire month! That means no going to Target and only getting things that are necessities. I will of course have to share this with the kids, Jordan I don't foresee having a problem, Colby on the other hand will take some adjusting. The hardest sell will be myself. I am confident that there will be nothing I absolutely "need" but I am sure I will find a lot of "WANTS" It is Jerry's birthday month but I am sure he will understand (right honey?) he is the one who has made me the budget conscious girl that I am(aspire to be) after all! During this month I will track my spending by the week, of course I will pay household bills, insurance,credit cards etc... this is purely the "other" spending that I am curtailing. I am hopeful that it will make me appreciate (and use) what I have.
Wish me luck! I will BBL with some pics, (as soon as my battery charger gets here!)

Treasure Each Moment

I am sooo sorry I have not been on in such a long time! I have been running around doing everything but what else is new? My camera is still broken and I have not been able to share my creations, but I have been creating, just not sharing. Life is good....I am looking forward to the summer, this year I have two vacations planned, making up for last year, I can't believe I did not go away last year, that is a first.
I know I have mentioned my cruise to Bermuda with Jordan,my Aunt Betty and cousin Judyya, I am soo looking forward to that!

I am also going to CABO SAN LUCAS with the BF {did I tell you how adorable and loving he is :) }, I am REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT!! OK, I don't want to sound too excited but the place is gorgeous,beautifu, breathtaking! I will be sure to take lots of pics, I have already started an album for both trips.

One thing I am not happy about is the grass growing in my yard, well I am happy I have grass but this year I have vowed not to hire someone to cut my lawn when I have a willing and able 17 year old who needs to start working for gas money. Today was a SMH day, he doesn't know how to start the lawn mower up! I am smiling because I know this part of his life only happens once and I adore him so, all I can do is smile and hope he figures it out, I am putting that responsibility on him and I will keep you posted.
In the meantime, Jordan just learned to do a cartwheel and she is soooo excited, again, I am smiling because that too only happens once in life, and the fact that it has brought so much joy to her world, the simple fact that she can now do a cartwheel, what will it be next year?
Enjoy each day with your loved ones, don't count down the days too quickly. This day only comes once in a lifetime...Until later ....smoochers

Have you ever had one of those days that you just can't seem to get it together. Well today was that day for me,a busy week and a busy Friday lead me to a relaxation Saturday! I didn't even go outside. The BF that I have been seeing for almost 10 months now asks me, "do you ever have a day that you just stay in?" LOL I guess we need to start spending some more QT together so he REALLY gets to know me... I was like you don't know? SMH he is so cute...adorable really! LOL
We have also decided we were going to start talking in text lingo more, just because we are silly. I told my son and he said who does that? LMAO so if you have any ideas LMK so I can step up my game. By the way, here is a picture of my BF, he is amazing

Happy Birthday Colby

My baby turned 17 yesterday! HE was born during a blizzard in 1993 and of course it snowed all day yesterday, 17 years later to the day! We managed to dig ourselves out and went on a mad hunt to find an open restaurant (no easy task) it was like ghost town on the roads, everyone was afraid to drive but the roads were not bad. We found one about 30 minutes away and he, his girlfriend, his best friend and of course Jordan and I had a wonderful birthday celebration! We will of course have a proper dinner at a really nice restaurant in 2 weeks when the snow melts. He is looking forward to that and so am I. The entire family will be together (well immediate anyway), that will be nice for him. Of course he is mainly looking forward to the lobster buffet, he and his best friend Mike were talking about it last night, mouth watering wishing the burgers they were eating were the unlimited lobster (they have never seen that and trust me, it is high class and delicious) and shrimp bar. He is even more excited about his driving test. We have 18 inches of snow and he still wants to take his test tomorrow! I told him he would be guaranteed to fail. Momma knows best.
I wanted to share a project I made too, isn't this the cutest? Someone will get a treat in this for valentines day!

Colby's Junior Prom

I can't say enough how time flies. It seems like last week I was riding him to his 8th grade dance, and a year ago we were at his pre-school graduation. Yesterday I had the opportunity to bring my handsome son and his beautiful date to his Junior Prom! He was not going to attend but with mom's encouragement he gave in and they had a wonderful time!

I am so caught up on all of my projects, I have rehired my cleaning lady ( you could never understand how letting her go effected my well being!) and I am RELAXED! My dear Jordan has two playmates over so that gives me time for me! My son is with his dad (need that son and father time!) and I am in my craft room listening to a book on tape for my book club meeting which is next week!
In between I wanted to take a break and post a couple of projects I have been working on. The first one is going to my BF,I know it is kind of pink but that represents something that he understands so hopefully that is ok, do you think its too feminine? I hope not, well it is supposed to be because it is from me and it represents who I am lol

The next is a project I am working on for my Friday Night Card making Club, we don't actually meet but we are a group of women that love the craft and send cards to each other monthly. All with a theme or technique assigned by one of the group members.We just started last month and if you look back a few posts you will see the card I sent for that month. I took pictures of the process, just to show you how I assemble in steps. The challenge was to use something recycled, I used an old book that was going to be thrown out by the librarian of Jordan's school, and Jordan didnt want it so hey, it is recycled right? I used the pages (very antiquelike) to make the flower! I wish I could say it was an original idea but it was not, I found the idea on one of the many blogs I love to visit, can't recall which one though....enjoy

Today is a very restful Saturday. THe past few have been spent running around doing a little bit of everything. Today I want to spend time doing the things I love to do to relax. So I got a book on disc to listen to as I create some craft projects. I just gave Jordan the notice to vacate my room because mommy needs some "me" time today. She was ok with it as long as I didn't give her a list of chores to do, she will be fine. Although she will have to work in some math practice sometime today!
One announcement I have to make is that I will be cruising for sure this year! To Bermuda! The ship has been booked and I am sooo ready! I also start my 30 day workout challenge today. I have lost a lot of weight in the last year and I want to keep it off and firm up and get my blood flowing and cholesterol lowered, so many reasons to exercise! I don't know why I find it so difficult to get started! I was also very happy to learn today that my one glass of wine with dinner has helped my good cholesterol! So I will be going to pick up another bottle for the week :)
I want to share a card with you I created with a special person in mind. I wasn't going to post it for fear he may see on here but maybe not, or maybe I will change up and create a different one. After all we have over a month before V Day!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
I have been MIA, preparing for the Holidays, work, you know the same old thing every year. This year we got lots of snow a week before Christmas which made our Christmas a nice White Christmas. This is Jordan and her friend Faith playing in the snow. Jordan had to change 4 Times because she did not have snow pants. Note to self....get Jordan snow pants! I am sure it will be snowing again this season.

Thank God for Colby who handled the shoveling (well snow blowing) for the house. I tried and I got one line down the drive and had to come back in, oh yeah, I also shoveled the steps and porch and got my exercise for the day....loving Colby though!

These two lovely girls are cards we got from a card swap I was in, this was the December card for one of the groups. It was fun and I had a ball making these cuties. Sad to see this group end but excited about another group I started that will begin in January. More to come on that one.

This is a card I made for another group in the same swap, love the little snowmen, this was the last of these cards and of course I made a little extra to give to some special folks. Never really got my Christmas cards out this year....shhhhhh don't tell, I promise next year I will be on time and may even have a picture!

I don't think I shared photos of my baby and his date at her Homecoming dance. I can't believe how time flies by. He is a man now and he had a date with this beautiful young lady who is very sweet. Here is Colby and Cassie:

I also wanted to share one of my Holiday gift projects, I made 26 of these for a swap so they are rather simple. I made a few extra to throw in my polyanna gifts and secret santa's things. I love this holiday! Cant wait to get the tree out and the decorations up, I will however wait until after Thanksgiving!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Thanks for stopping by, this is my first hop and I am glad to participate, just hope I get it all right!

We lost a very close friend of the family to breast cancer a few years back, she was such a special woman with a bright smile and was always so pleasant to be around. You wouldn't even know she had cancer (she never let it stop her from living life) if you didn't know her personally. She was one of my mom's best friends and I know she misses her so much. We have to keep supporting the fight against this deadly disease that takes too many of us oh too soon.
We miss you Bobby, but you will forever remain in our hearts.

I got some new goodies from my SS and I could not wait to play with them! They coordinate so well with my PTI friends paper and I have been wondering what to do with this print. Well my very generous SS got me the hibiscus paper and buttons from PTI so in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, I made this an all Pink project.
These are mini note pads, which will come in handy for list making, grocery lists or holiday shopping. I was given one a while ago and love it! PTI had a free template so I took this opportunity to complete a project I had been putting aside for a while.

Card Tin

Hi guys,
It has been a veryyy longgg weekend. Jordan is better, a lot better, in fact , she has a cough but that is it, thank God she is ok, that was a scare. She even went on a trip today with her Girlscout troop to learn how to make candy, she had fun and of course came home with lots of goodies. While she made candy I went shopping. Of course my new motto is only buy things I can justify a need for, especially if it is over $5, you would be surprised how much you save doing that.

Well today I am posting some of things I finally completed after much thought. This card tin will be sent to a SS for a swap I am in,( I dount she reads here so it is ok :) ) I am going to try to get a nugget tin in the same colors done by the end of the week, and then perhaps a notepad or something in coordinating colors. I hope she likes them. Here is the card tin

Home Sick

Well it is flu season and that sneaky, cluster of germs may have snuck into my home. I have never been a big "shot" fan so I avoid getting them like the plague. I didn't get my kids the shot either and now I am feeling a bit guilty. Jordan has been the first (and hopefully the last) in my home to succumb, she was sent home sick yesterday and today it's mommy and Jordan time, in the way she certainly did not want it to be. She is up in the bed, too weak to get up to eat, I am hoping this is not the flu and just a passing bug. We will find out when we get to the doctor this afternoon. She was fine yesterday, so I was shocked to get a call from her school nurse, who informed me that several kids are home with a fever. This leaves me with my advice to ALL. If you are sick and have any kind of bug (virus) that can be spread, please stay home!! That means anything other than allergies, if you are coughing, sneezing, fever, please do us all a favor and stay home until the bug has passed, if we all did that, less people would be effected and we would have a healthier school, office or wherever your daily journey takes you.
On another subject, my drive to import my photos has gone mysteriously missing so I cannot share any of my recent creations until it is located. I am not happy about that, Colby of course is the only one using this computer frequently ( and I mean frequently), but of course has not seen it! What is that about??? I am counting down the days of HS and can't wait for him to begin is College experience, I think I am more excited about that time for him than he is LOL
Well, I am on a hunt for my drive and going to check on my baby. I am hopeful that I will be online before three weeks have passed again!

Its been a while

OMG it has been almost 20 days since my last post and I still have no new creations to show, well I do have some cards but I will post them later, I can't put off just saying hi for one second more. Life has been hectic as it always is in September, at work and at home. Things are just starting to get back to some sense of normalcy and it is almost October.
Family update: Colby did not last long in Catholic school, he was borderline depressed so I figured I would take him out of his misery for his last two years of HS and let him go back to RV. That change is happening next week. Everything else is chugging along. I have many projects on my to do list that need to be completed and for one, painting the basement. I think by the end of October I will have a color picked out (you didn't think I was going to say I should have it done by then did you? lol) I am guessing the end of year it will be done, that is if Jerry helps me every weekend (Hi Jerry :) - he is one of the 8 people that read my blog from time to time). Jordan is cheering and dancing and scouting, Colby is just sleeping lmao and I am the new taxi.
I watched the biggest loser this week and I will try to follow it this year, I think I prefer that to the skinny girls in skimpy clothes dancing with the stars. As I was watching the Biggest Loser, I didn't feel so big after all, it was a morale booster as well as a motivator to get moving so that I never ever qualify for that show! God bless them all for trying to make a life change, I know how hard it is.
I just wanted to stop in and update my page and let you all know that I am still here, my craft habit has been put to the side but I am still buying the latest and the greatest supplies so I will be ready soon to show you something. I also got a bind it all for my birthday so as soon as I figure out how to use it, I will make a wonderful book to show you all.

Colby's 1st day at Camden Catholic

I have to post my son's back to school picture. Although he looks like a man he is still and will always be my little boy. I remember his first day in Kindergarten and how he chased me to the door wanting to come home with me. Now this is another milestone, his first day in a Catholic School (this should be an interesting year) this picture was the dress rehearsal, he tied his own tie lol....

although dad showed him how to tie his tie, I couldn't let him go to school like that, so after some touch ups from mom, this is how he left the morning of.... (granted he was not happy about me taking his picture outside in front of the house....but I had to, it was a once in a lifetime event :) A scrapbook moment that I will add to his scrapbook that one day he will treasure and share with his children. I love this kid !!! How could you not, on top of the good looks, he is such a sweetheart.

I can't get enough of making these little card sets, I am not sure who is getting this one, but I made it from one stamp set and a simply scrapping kit from SU. I have a few more to make for my swap, but this one will probably be delivered to one of my Secret Sisters before then.

It is very quiet in my house and I never thought I would say this but I am ready for things to get back to normal around here. I miss my kids, they have been with Grandma for almost 2 weeks now and I can't stand the quiet anymore. I do appreciate having little to do, no running kids from place to place, not really having to cook dinner, only for me, there are some pro's but the cons outweigh them. I miss the everyday chaos children bring, them needing me for any and everything....I will forget I said all of this by the first week of school I am certain, but for now, I want my babies back :(
Well until then, I will continue to enjoy my solitude....... Happy Saturday!

Lo carb eating!

Hi guys, Today is my day 4 of low carb eating, I don't want to call it a diet because it is supposed to turn into a way of life. Ok, so well I have been eating good for the first 4 days. Today I had a friend over and drank some wine, how many carbs can that be right? Well I hope not too many, I am expecting to go into ketosis any day now. I am eating soft food because I had dental surgery this weekend. I am recovering quite nicely, using very little of the prescribed medication, which is a good thing, I don't respond well to prescribed pain killers
Well two more official weeks to summer break then the kids are back to school, although it feels like it is over already. I need to start planning a getaway for next year. I am open to any ideas, leave them in my comments section and I will look into them. Oh, I didn't mention it but I want a "kidfree" getaway :)

TGIF but so sad that August is almost over :( I did have a surge of energy last night so I completed some cards for a swap I am in (finally). They are not overdue but I have known about this for some time now and my procrastination set it. I hate procrastinating and procrastinators but lately I find myself becoming more and more of one.
This task completed allows me to cross yet another thing off my "to do" list but of course I added about four more lol.
Oh yeah, today, Day 2 of my living lavita lo-carb! So far so good, I need to stay away from the energy drinks though!

Oooh! I had to check to see if I was right, and I am, I made two posts back to back. I am getting better at this bogging business.
I do not have a picture for you because I have been half steppin! Urban Dictionary definition meaning: Not doing a complete job; opposite of come correct. It pretty much means half assed. I have been starting projects and not finishing them. I have several things in the works that I need to get a jump on and complete them so I have a picture to show you. A picture speaks 1000 words right? What would this world be without pictures.

Today has been such a productive day. My new beau is an accountant and I took full advantage of his expertise. He created a budget for me and what a task it was. He spent most of the day on it ( I did make him a sandwich so he stayed energized!) The whole thing is in an excel workbook with Mega spreadsheets to reference. I hope, no I know I will keep it up. I wish I could say that I did it with his help, but I was of little help, he did most of the work. I absolutely hate doing bills every month but this has made me see the big picture and will make it much more bearable, I am so appreciative, I will cook him dinner tonight :)
Not only did I get myself a new budget, I also got happy mail today! Woohoo.. I am attaching the pic, but you can't really see the Anya's, I got TWO of them! and the cutest altered pad in a Tin. I have to find out where she got that tin, it is so stinkin' cute! I love it. I also got a new Martha Stewart punch to use for Halloween. This is from the flood of gifts swap. I was the lucky first recipient. I will get 11 gifts and then once a month I will have to send gifts to these wonderfully talented women, I am loving today!

As I was cleaning my kitchen, the maillady arrived with happymail! What a pleasant surprise. I have posted pics of what I got but I must say I love it all. The Sister got it all right, down to the wine opener and towel set, I love it all (oops, did I say that already?). She included a cupcake recipe she wanted me to share with the kiddos and my new beau since I will be starting lo carb soon :( But I am not starting until September 1st so we will be sampling this soon!

I love this Bella, ok I love all Bellas but this one is close to my heart because she reminds me so much of myself, down to the curly hairdo! When I am having a stressful day ~which is most from September through June, I come home to a glass of my favorite red wine, (Just a glass, don't go calling AA), and unwind from my hour commute. I usually start to cook as soon as I step in the door, often before I even change my clothes, because once I sit down, forget it, we may be ordering pizza lol.
I hope you like her as much as I do. These are going postal tomorrow to some special peeps at SCS! My card group. I am off to Stamp Camp, will check in tomorrow!

They tease me at work because I have notepads all over and I am forever making a list of to do items. I am on vacation this week and I have my "list" all ready to go! I have crossed off two items, only about 30 to go ROTLF.

Happy Friday again and now I am on my summer break. I am off for 11 whole days! I expected to have something to post but I only completed two out of four of my cards for a recipe swap of which I cannot share for fear that my secret sister will peek on my blog and see them. I have yet to complete any cards but since I have no life, I will be home once again on Friday night and I will create some cards (if there are no good movies on or no good HGTV shows). I shouldn't say I have no life, I have a wonderful 8 year old that keeps me company so much that I need a break every now and then. She is out playing with friends and has a busy weekend planned of which ends at grandma's house (me doing the happy dance).
Today, I did something I never have done before, and that is (drum roll please)... I went to the movies by MYSELF! I so wanted to see Julia and Julie and I was in the area and had the choice to go to AC Moore, of which I literally NEED NOTHING, so instead I spent my $10 on a movie that I wanted to see (smart right?). I can't believe a movie costs $10, would I be showing my age if I said" I remember when".... a movie was $1!! I am old! I also remember going to the drive in movie, that was so fun and my kids don't even know what that is (so sad for them)! Some things should come back and drive in movies is one of those things. However, the kids these days probably should not have the privacy of a car when watching a movie (eek)
I fulfilled my promise to self that I would post at least weekly... we gotta start somewhere right? I will try to get back on tonight or tomorrow with some cards for you.

Masculine Card ~ Another Stationary Set

I am finally getting around to posting the masculine birthday card for my swap on SCS. The paper I was given to work with had a really masculine feel. I don't usually work with too much black and grey, so after coloring the little fur ball I thought the card needed something extra, so I gave it some bling lol, ok maybe not so masculine now but I tried!
I am also posting a picture of a stationary kit made with Paper Trey paper and ribbon (black and white - go figure). I made for a friend of mine who is going through a rough time. I hope this little surprise picks her up a bit, if only bringing a smile to her face and a happy moment to her day. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.
I have a nice weekend ahead, really nothing planned, just spending some time with a good friend. I am looking forward to it :)Last night I cooked him a special meal and he loved it! I was afraid it might not turn out so good because I had never made the dish before. It was delicious if I say so myself. He also gave me an idea to take pictures of my meals and create a recipe scrapbook....I am going to do that. I am in a recipe swap on SCS so that idea came at the right time. That is another hobby I want to get into (cooking that is), can that be considered a hobby? I only like to do it when I am not forced to.

Weekend fun!

I have been away at LBI for a few days and have not been online nor have I been crafting. Today I was shopping and paying bills, which determined that I should not be shopping! I should have paid the bills first then I wouldn't have gone to the store at all!
I did get some good deals though, so I am not complaining.
I have a few pics from our beach trip to share (no bikini's yet!) If you notice my dear daughter Jordan has managed to get in almost every picture! How did that happen? We stayed at my friends family summer home, it was a nice relaxing weekend. The beach weather was great! Jordan stayed in the water most of the day. My Godson, Peyton, also in the pics, is still afraid of the water but I know he will be a beach boy soon enough, I can see him surfing in about 10 years.
Tomorrow, I will be back at work, back to the grind for 3 days and then hopefully another Summer fun filled weekend. I am not ready to say summer is almost over, I am still enjoying each and every minute.
Going out for our summer night walk, will try to have at least a card to post for you tomorrow!

Power walk and Power wash Monday

I had a very full day today and got a lot accomplished. I started by going to the gym and running which quickly turned into a powerwalk. I thought I would ease into the jogging thing so I wouldn't embarrass myself by passing out on the treadmill, so I ran 1/2 mile ( a friend told me to start small and go 1 mile- are you kidding me?) I realized halfway through the half mile that I was panting heavily and wondered if the people nearby could hear my heavy breathing ( I had my ipod on so I had no idea how loud I was). The guy next to me kept looking at me, I thought perhaps I was disturbing him, but then I realized I didn't have my sports bra on (oops). Anyway, I did jog the 1/2 mile and then quickly reverted to a power walk, (I didn't want to look all wimpy in the gym) after another 15 minutes of power walking I figured I would give it another go and run to finish it off. I started sweating profusely and almost tripped on the treadmill,( I was favoring my right side) I played it off like I wanted to do it -( yeah right) and resumed my power walk. Afterward I lifted for another 45 minutes (OK perhaps it was more like 30 minutes) My plan is to return to the gym at 6 am to start day 2, I will fill you in on how that went tomorrow.

The gym gave me so much energy I came home and decided it was the perfect time to powerwash the steps to my walkout basement. The grass goes down there and they were literally green from the grass gunk, it was disgusting. They look 1000% better after 2 hours of hard work on my part. My son saw me covered in green gunk and water when I was done, I looked a sight and this was the dialogue, (keep in mind he has been sleeping all morning as I am out being superwoman);

Colby: (looks at me with disgust) what is that all over you? did you fall in the mud?

Me : The steps look 1000% percent better, I got all of the green gunk off, you should be proud of me.

Colby : (looks at me really confused and he is serious) I don't know why you powerwashed the steps, they are just going to get green again when they cut the grass.

Me: excuse me? Are you suggesting I let the green gunk build up and never wash it off?

Colby: All I am saying is it doesn't make sense to wash them when they will just get dirty again

Me: who are you again? Beavis or Butthead, go sweep the garage!

Colby: Are you serious? Didn't I just do that in March......(loud groaning sound)

I am counting the days to College. He is only a Junior in HS and did I mention he has his permit.....I think I need some heart medication.

Hi guys, just wanted to post, I have not been on in a couple of days. I spent today with an old college friend. We had lunch and shopped all day. It is good to have friends that you don't see often but when you do finally meet up, it is like you just saw them yesterday. I have not seen Yolanda in probably over a year, she has been there for me through many ups and downs, she is a true friend. I only have a few of them, true friends that is and I treasure them dearly and will do anything for then. We had a great time catching up, although we do catch up frequently on the phone. We both have a shopping addiction so whenever we plan a meet up it always involves a mall of some sort :-D I hope everyone has a friend like that, it makes my heart smile to say I have a few and the do truly help me to get through. Life is good!

Family Reunion

I have no pictures to post but wanted to share my activities for the weekend. Every year my fathers side of the family get together for our annual family reunion. I didn't go last year because it always fell on my now ex husbands birthday weekend, but now I get to attend and I am so happy I went! They honored my dad because he was the next oldest in line to be recognized. Each year they honor the elders of the group. My dad will be 70 this year, he is not the oldest but he was the next in line to be recognized. I fear that I will be soon since they do this every year lol.
Well Jordan had a great time playing with her cousins. They rarely get together and each year my cousins and I say we have to get together more often, but we just never find the time. I will make it a priority this year to get together with family more often. As a child, the time with family hold some of my dearest memories. Sometimes we just let life get in the way and don't remember what is really important.
My plan today is to continue to organize my craft space so that when I am crafting I know where everything is! I am almost done organizing, then I will complete a set of cards, so I am determined to come back with a completed card today! Be back later :)

I am have been blog hopping and finding some neat things out there. I found a site to help give organization ideas, I love organizing, it is just hard to stay that way and follow a system, so I am hoping they have some good ideas to help me on my way.
I am also going to post my meal plan, which idealy this should be done on Monday's, today is Wednesday so i will start this one in the middle and Monday be right on track. Here Goes:
Wednesday - Turkey Burgers
Thursday - Shrimp and pasta with sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms
Friday - Chicken Enchilada's (Colbys favorite!)
Saturday - Lemon Pepper chicken and Rice
Sunday - Deep fried Tilapia (gotta put that deep fryer to use!)
I will be on Monday with my new menu for next week!

Well it is July already and I treasure each day in July and August, they are precious days and throughout childhood amongst my favorite! I hope my kids feel the same way. We have a weekend full of fun planned and I am looking forward to cookouts, fireworks, exploring new things with my family. I hope you are all spending some good quality Family time somewhere this weekend. I will be sure to post some pics, maybe not Monday but sometime next week for sure.

I made myself sit down and complete these cards for my June, ( yes I said June) Bella swap! So sorry I am so late, I am usually way ahead on swaps. For some reason lately I feel more compelled to shop than to create, I hope I get out of that slump soon before I go broke. I can't post all that I have purchased in the last few weeks, you may think I am nuts. Aside from that I am on a budget (smile).

Well I hope you like my Bella's, I thought if I used the Bella lifting somehow I may be inspired myself....nope....hasn't happened yet, but I feel it coming.

Girls Night Out

The last day of June is finally here, this is the beginning of summer for me , officially!

All is good, work is quiet, peaceful, getting lots done. On the home front, I am procrastinating with the cards that I have to make for a swap. I have been blog hopping for inspiration and I expect to finish soon. I don't have much to report, other than we had a really nice time at our Girls Night Out on Friday, I am attaching a few pics. I also had a very restful weekend with no kids, but ....they're baaaaaccccckk, lol Colby has gone out with his friend, I still can't believe he is with a friend who drives! he will be driving soon, all I can do is pray.

Jordan and I will watch a movie tonight, I am off work for a long weekend, I don't have to be back to work until Tuesday....swwwweeeet. Well lots to do, so gotta run, wish I had more time to chat and tell you about my weekend, but I must run. Hopefully will be back with some pics of those cards!

Happy hump day, why am I up at 11:52 PM posting on my blog you ask, well I went to the gyn today! and I have all of this energy that I can't seem to get rid of. Well some good has come from it, other than getting rid of some of the cellulite on my thighs.... I finally finished this card, I have been working on it for about 2 weeks. Well actually I have just been looking at it and not working on it lol. It is the last card for a card swap I am in with Melissa's group on SCS. The group was wonderful and I received so many fantastic cards. This last image was sent a while ago and I had no idea what I would do with it. We had a challenge to use the DP (which I love) on the inside of the card somewhere. I like how it came out, very girly. I used glossy gel on the card to accent the duck and to simulate water. Genius right, Well it really looks good in person. Enjoy! I'm going to try to get some sleep before it's time to get back to work!

Bliss

Bliss ~ Noun~ complete joy, happiness or delight....

I am in a blissful state (smile) I am doing nothing because there is nothing I NEED to be doing right now. I am on the computer, blog hopping, listening to Laura Izibor, (if you haven't checked her out, stop sleeping, I am loving her music) read back a little I saw her live last week and she is no joke!

I am listening to her trying to decide my favorite song. I just cut some flowers from what I will call my flower garden, I LOVE FLOWERS! and I took a picture because they are a beautiful deep red color ~lilly, like the red wine I also LOVE. They don't last long so I cut them and brought them in. I also have pink , yellow and orange, they have not blossomed all of the way.

I took a picture of my favorite flower in front, the blooms get lighter every year, I think I will buy another one of these hydrangea's. Love them too. Although they are tricky too prune.

I am not sure how long this blissful state will last, but I am loving it. Probably until 6:30 AM when my alarm goes off. YES I said 6:30, to me summer hours have begun and I can sleep will 6:30 instead of the usual 5:30 AM.

Side note~ My cleaning lady was here today and she is so so funny, she has been cleaning for us for a while now but I rarely get to see her, she is usually here when I am working, I enjoyed our conversation. Just thought I would throw that in there.

I probably should be upstairs creating something but in this blissful state I do what my muse tells me and he (yes its a guy...why not? ) has not told me to get up yet. So I am here just chillin' out enjoying time go by, every minute. I am so ecstatic to know that I can find happiness alone and that I depend on no one else to give it to me, and better yet no one can take it away... although that may seem common to most, for a long time I thought that my happiness depended on others, I am wiser now :) I hope you are all doing something you enjoy everyday! Classes

I am posting two of the things I made in classes I have taken in June and May. I have been going one Sunday a month to The Scrappers Cove, a LSS, and taking a class. That has been a treat for myself.

The first is a class is for a summer chipboard album using Acrylic and Chipboard. I LOVED this class and how the book turned out. It was a lot of work, especially this little mermaid, they used quickkutz and believe me there were lots of tiny pieces, but I love how it turned out and I can't wait to fill it with our summer adventures!

The next I was a bit disappointed, I signed up for a class thinking we were going to learn different coloring techniques using copics, that is how the class was advertised, instead we spent THREE hours creating this book...that we can use on our own to "Figure out" the different techniques. Not exactly what I had in mind. Lets see how long this stays empty lol, the book is cute, it has various paper mediums to experiment with, I am afraid to stamp in it for fear I will mess it up! It is still overall a really cute book!

Bridging from Brownie's to Junior's

Well the ceremony for Jordan's bridging from Brownie to Girl Scouts was nice. Mom, Colby, Sam and I were all there to see Jordan become a Girl Scout! or a Junior is what they call the girls in green, they are all Girl Scouts. This is her 5th year in the organization and I think it is a great thing for young girls. Her troop is wonderful and her leaders are great. Most troops had one or two girls bridging but her troop has been together since Kindergarten and they have all pretty much remained active, one or two dropping along the way. I was a girl scout growing up and have lots of wonderful memories to share with her as she experiences her soon to be memories, time goes so fast, Enjoy the Now!

Cleaning

Hi everyone! This is just going to be a short post, I am waiting for my mom and brother to get here, Jordan is having her "Bridging" ceremony today where she crosses over from a Brownie to a Girl Scout! I can't believe she is old enough to be a girl scout already. I will post more later with some pics, hopefully I will be able to get some good ones.

Today was spent with a close friend of mine, he is such a sweetheart! I can't begin to tell you but he reads my blog from time to time so I won't say too much, his head may start to grow lol.But he is fab! Anyway, he is a man after my heart (literally) but he cleans and organizes how many men do that? I was cleaning my pantry today, he was over, I guess that was kind of rude, but he was ok with it, in fact he stepped right in and helped. He actually took the lead because he is the "master organizer". I thought I was bad (in a good way) but he is way better at organizing than I am, I feel a little competition coming on.

I had so much expired food, you would not believe it. I had to throw loads away and my extra large garbage outside is full! But my pantry looks a lot better and most of all, I know what I have and what I need! Do you ever realize when you shop you tend to get the same things over and over, I had like 3 and 4 of the same things, rather crazy if you ask me. My goal is to keep it this way (with the help of the kids) and to stock it with all healthy choices for me and the kids. Check out the pics!

Has it been since May that I have been on here? I promised to write more and what do I do, write less. I have been super busy at work so I have not a minute to spare to blog. The good news is that Thursday is the last day for the students and then ....peace ... for a few weeks anyway!

I went out last night with a friend to see a new artist at the World Live Cafe in Philly, the artist is Laura Izibor and her album comes out today, she was phenomenal! I meant to get her album but didn't get it today, I will soon. There a few songs on there that remind me a special someone :) Well in my night out we were having a ball until someone spilled red wine all over my white pants! Can you believe it, messed up my pants and new silk blouse from White House Black Market, I was not happy. I continued to enjoy the show and expected him to come up after to continue to apologize, he was no where around. He did leave me his card and asked me to send him the bill, which I did this morning, let's see if he follows through.

In addition to having wine spilled on me, my tooth broke too! Perfect timing, as if I could take a day off in the last two days of school. Let us just pray that it does not start to hurt!

I am going backwards a little now, this past weekend I had a mini- fish fry with a friend. I am not one for friend foods but this fish was sooooo good! I can't begin to tell you. I know it is not healthy to eat too much that way but I enjoyed every bite, I think the scale has , moved up 2 pounds in a couple day so I need to get back on track.

I could continue to ramble on but I think I have said enough. I am going to take some pictures of the chipboard album I made this past weekend and post them later, I just love it! I signed up for another class.

Happy Friday all! I have some me time so I am doing what I like to do, check some blogs out, look at some creations and just relax with a glass of red wine and some music. I should be asleep, catching up for some lost ZZZZ's but it is Friday night and who wants to sleep on a Friday night? Not that I am going out or anything, but I feel I will miss something if I take a nap and wake up Saturday morning. Either way I will be up at 5:30AM it is inevitable. Colby is going to the movies with his friend, tomorrow is Jordan and Me all day. We will catch a movie, plant some flowers, go to the book store....yes we are corny, we LOVE the book store! I will squeeze some stamp time between all of the fun and it will be a great weekend! Sunday I have a copics class, I can't wait, I will be sure to take pictures and show you guys what I learn. I also have a book club meeting...fun day!

I hope to be back tomorrow with at least one card to post. If anyone has a good movie to recommend let me know!

Lemons to Lemonade

Hi all, I hope you are enjoying this wonderful weather if you are in the Northeast. I had plans for yesterday (yes, even after I said I would not make plans) but they fell through. Jordan was spending the day with her Uncle Sam at the water park so I had a day Free. As a single mom I don't get many of those days so I did make plans to spend some time with a friend and visit New Hope. A place I have never been but have been wanting to see. I was looking forward to it and the day was perfect for it. Well , things happen and we weren't able to go, but I made lemonade from my lemons. I spent the day finishing up a project that I started for a swap I am in, it is due May 30th so I guess the timing was good after all. I love how these came out. They are mini stationary sets, each contains 3 cards and a bookmark. I used Papertrey DP and I absolutely love this paper, it is called raspberry fizz, I have to order more and ribbon because I used it up on this project. Well I hope you enjoy the photos. I made 5 different versions but I have to send 4 so I am posting the 4 I am sending. It was so hard to pack them up, I wanted to keep them all to send to friends, but this just means I need to make more. Enjoy! I think I will make some cards today, or organize my closets, or power wash the patio and grill, all of these things needs to get done. Perhaps I will put the son to work, and then I can fit it all in ....until later, enjoy your day!

Well not exactly paradise but this photo is my inspiration to keep going. Usually this time of year I am looking forward to a vacation but since we have cancelled the cruise, I have no plans.

When I was sulking about not having anywhere to go this summer, a good friend told me that it is never too late, I have to start somewhere, even if it is just a tent in the backyard (he is so sweet). I was thinking more like a beach in Maui.... He has inspired me to keep keep my head up and start doing! I have all summer and I will take full advantage of my time.

I do claim to be adventurous, so why not set out on weekend adventures? I know this is going to be a great summer!

I am a planner, anyone who knows me knows that, but this summer I am going out on a limb and I refuse to plan. I will take it as it comes and I will share my adventures with you. It may not be Maui but it will be a hell of a time wherever it takes me. Life is not about the destination, it is about the road traveled and I will make this summer a memorable one~ more to come....

Hi guys, sorry it has been a while, I say that a lot don't I? I have been in a funk lately that I can't seem to shake. I have been keeping really busy thinking that would make me feel better but it really hasn't. I think it is partly spring fever, part change of life and of course the change of seasons, whatever, I need a boost! A kick to get me going. I have to thank God for all of my dear friends, the cyber friends, the new friends and of course the lifelong friends, you guys help keep me going.

Jordan comes back today from Alabama, I missed my little shadow, you don't realize what their presence means until they are gone. Even Colby was looking for her today when I got home, and all they do is fuss but they truly love each other. With just the three of us around, we look out for one another knowing that no matter what it will always be us three. OK enough of the sappy stuff, I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day. Colby washed my car (with the help of a nice neighbor friend of ours~ my neighbors have been great through it all too!) It was a relaxing day.

I went to Philly over the weekend to a jazz club, have never been, it was a change and I really enjoyed it. I did lose my Gucci sunglasses though and of course they didn't find them, I called but knew the answer before calling :(

My cruise to Bermuda has been cancelled, I am so disappointed, I have absolutely no vacation plans now, that is so not me. I always have somewhere to go. I think I may take a week and go to Aruba, I just have to decide who to take and I will be gone! Let's see.... Colby had his trip to Dominican Republic, Jordan is in summer camp all summer, who will it be :) I guess you will have to wait and see......I will keep you posted!

30 Minute Cards

This has been a very busy week at work. We are doing the State testing and it is very draining to say the least. In addition to that I had a GNO last night and we didn't hang out too late but afterwards I did too much talking (although it was good conversation) and too little sleeping! I wanted nothing more than to come home today to a nice warm bubble bath and a glass of wine. But I had some blog catching up to do. I found this 30 minute card challenge on the "Fun Frilled" sight and decided to give it a try. This card took less than 30 minutes. I used the card base from a box of cards that I thought were all glitter, it turned out only about 10 of the 40 were, but this card is using one of the green glitter bases. I love bling and glitter and anything girly, so using my scraps on my craft table, I came up with this card. I also knew I would not have time to color so the focus of the card is the sentiment. I never realized how much easier it is when you don't have to color! These are my favorite colors, it took me less than 30 to complete and post, wow I need a pat on the back for this one ....Enjoy!

Today was a sick day for me, my car had to be taken in, it died on me but we were able to revive it. I should be back in full force tomorrow!

My divorce is finally filed, bittersweet. Bitter in that it is never a happy occasion that you made a mistake, sweet in that it is finally almost over (big cheesy smile) ! I am usually a bit more private about things like that but I am just happy it is almost over, so I thought I would share it with everyone, I have taken my name back (Cole) even though it is not official yet, it is in my mind, I have moved on :)

I have not stamped at all today, I was cleaning for the cleaning lady and now my grass is being cut by the yard guys. I think I will need some alimony to pay for all of this :) When they came to start cutting I was like again, already, weren't they like just here last week! But I guess that is the point, every week they will be here. There are like 5 of them and what used to take my ex 6 hours to do, takes them about 30 minutes and it looks much better :) Maybe one day soon I will get out and plant some more flowers. My flowers that come up every year have bloomed and look so pretty. I took a picture but they look better in person, (don't mind the grass and weeds, they have not come yet to re-mulch and clean up the beds LOL) I love my yard and my house, especially in the Spring! I hope to be creative soon, so I have some things to share. I think I may have some time this weekend, I have to finish a stationary set up.

Have to go clean for the cleaning lady now, be back soon.... promise!

Well today is Wednesday, hump day and no new pics to post. I have not stamped all week! I have been so sick and I NEVER get sick. Ask any of my friends, I brag about it all of the time! How my kid get sick and I don't, I work in a school and NEVER get sick, well so much for that. I have Ny-Quil, Day-quil, tylenol cold am and pm, I am such a baby! At night it has been the worst because I can't sleep. I do feel that it is getting better, but it is taking me soooo long to beat this one. I have not worked out on the new Wii by the way, because I recently read an article in Shape Magazine that says if you are sick you should rest and not over exert yourself :) So I am resting smile, with a glass of wine tonight, which means I can not take my Tylenol Cold PM or my Ny-Quil, what the heck was I thinking? I have been sticking to my lo-carb diet. My BFF said to me today there is no way she will let me look better than her on our cruise, which leaves on July 4th! So let the games begin! I love a challenge! Did I say I have been doing good on my lo carb? Well she had chick fil a for lunch, ate all of her waffle fries and a large lemonade! Then went home for a longgggg nap! I will be sure to post pictures of the cruise.

Well, wish me luck. The weather is supposed to get nicer so maybe I will recover and be able to enjoy some of it!

Good Day All! Try to stay dry, it is pouring here. I am glad because we put fertilizer down Thursday and it says it should rain 2 to 3 days after, so PERFECT~ Today we are celebrating Easter with the family. I am going to see my 99 year old Nana and my mom and Aunt, and me and Jordan will be driving up the highway. Hey I just realized , only woman at this festivity. Colby is on his way to the Dominican as I type, hope he likes it

I don't have much news to report so instead of rambling on I am going to share some cards with you today. The first I made was kind of a copy cat card. I received this wonderful card from a swap made with the top note die cut and I decided to make one of my own. The only thing that is the same is the technique, the card I received was a Bella, this card is for my monthly card swap that I am in. Each month one person in the group sends everyone else a card kit and gives us a challenge and we each create our own version of the card. I have a very talented group of ladies so I always feel like I need to study before I create my card :)

I think each month my cards get a little better but do not compare to some of theirs, they are fab!

Well I hope you enjoy my Happy Birthday Cupcake card. The image she sent is from TAC, I just love this card, I used puff paint for the cupcake, stickles and glaze for the cherry. It looks a little better in person, makes me want a cupcake!

Hi All, I got Happy mail on this rainy Monday. I was determined to not be down, I hate Monday's but I like Rainy days so it wasn't so bad. I went to lunch with a friend, to a new restaurant in Cherry Hill Mall called Maggiano's. I had been to the one in Philly a while ago and was not that impressed but I figured it looked nice so I would give it another go. Well I had eggplant parm (OK all you BOB people, I know that is not on the diet LOL) so you can't really mess that up. It was just ok, don't think I will be going back anytime soon. OK OK, I had dessert too! it was not even worth it and I only finished half, so so disappointing. Back to my Happy Mail, when I got back from the mall I had this big box sitting on my table waiting for me, I was so Happy. The picture shows the contents but let me share it anyway: Cooking Light magazine, sugar free life savers ( wanted to try these) some sugar free citrus and fruit punch gum, magenta stickles, pink rhinestones 2 eggs that sizzle in the bathtub, some pink ribbon, a trim your abs book, some crocheted buttons, like the ones in SU, all packed in that adorable altered bag.

I love my BOB SS she always puts a lot of TLC in to the packages she sends to me.

I didn't mention this but I also spent $106 at the MAC store, I think I am going nuts, I could have made a stamp order! but a girl needs her essentials!

Happy Sunday everyone, can you believe it, I think I posted 3 days in a row, see I promised I would be on more often! Yesterday turned out to be a non spring cleaning day and turned into a stamping day. I am in a monthly card swap for Bella's ( I probably mentioned this before) well I decided to use Patricia Birthdaycake Chichiboulie fairy stamp this month, I think she is so adorable! I was given this as a gift from an SCS'er ,(lots of good folks over there) I also got to open a pack of my Papertrey quidelines paper in purple. I love Papertrey paper! Of course I have so much SU paper, my base and coordinating card stock are all SU, love them too! (even though I am no longer a demonstrator) I colored this fairy in with my copic markers, and added some accents with my glaze pens. I used a flower eyelet (given to me from my not so secret, secret sis) and finished it off with some SU ribbon. Hope you enjoy it!

FunFrilled has a challenge to win a great prize, I can never pass up on a perfect opportunity to get some free stamping supplies. I had this card started a while ago but had just colored the image, because it was fun and silly and I was having a fun and silly day! I had no idea what I would do with it, but along came this opportunity to use it on Michelle's April Fools challenge! When will you ever see a cow dancing down the street with chickens! April fools! LOL, ok I know that is silly, but this is a silly card challenge and I LOVE IT! Hope you like my card. The cow is colored using SU markers then fun flock on the body (Love fun flock) and why not use fun flock on a fun card, ok, enough corny I know :) Wish me luck~hope I win :)

Today I have been spring cleaning, I already completed my garage! Cleaned and re-organized, it looks great! I wanted to get some yard work done but the wind is too strong. I am off next week, so I am hoping for some good weather to get out there.

My son is going to the Dominican Republic for Spring Break, he is sooo sooo lucky! He is going with his dad, I have never been there but I do have my cruise to look forward to so I won't complain. My daughter is going to Alabama (not so fun) but she has horses down there so she will enjoy the trip. I will enjoy my quiet alone time. I don't think I have been alone for a week in the last 5 years! What ever will I do :)

Hi all! I have been away for quite some time. I am sorry that I have not been updating, but it has been good that I have been keeping busy, keeping my mind off of negative things :)

Today is the first day for Spring Break! I can't wait to get some spring cleaning and STAMPING done. I have a list of items to make. Lately I have been signing up for a lot of "things" swaps, not really inspiring my creativity. Today I packed 5 boxes that I have to ship off tomorrow, all secret sister swaps and a couple birthday gifts to send out. I am dreading that PO bill, perhaps I will just send half out, depending on the damage.

Clinique has a gift with purchase at Macy's, I went shopping today since I had a bit of down time. I only got what I went there for, I am so proud of myself sticking to my budget. This is a difficult thing to get used to when you are used to spending so much, so freely.

I joined a PIF on another blog, I will go get the info and bring it back here, I hope you all will join me!

OK, These were actually taken with a real camera and I figured out how to attach them using this I MAC! Do I get any points for that ? I hope my few followers enjoy the cards, now that I sort of know how to attach photos perhaps I will show you more of my work LOL .

These were made for a coffee and tea card swap that I am in on SCS. Well these were the two extras, I don't think I used the same paper on the others but the image is the same.

What's going on with everyone today? I have a book club meeting and I need to go finish reading the book! It was not my choice of novels, but that is what is special about book club, you get to read books you would never have chosen yourself, broadens your knowledge a bit I guess. Well it is fun meeting with the girls once a month to have a few drinks, some finger foods and talking about whatever! Oh Yeah, and the book tehehe. We have been doing this or three years now, I started it when I first moved into the development, most of our original members are still with us. A few dropped out and we added a couple more. Hi everyone! OK Michelle, here I am! Sorry I was not posting, I was not on the PHONE!!! LOL I was actually busy trying to get some cards done for a swap I am in, can you believe it? I am still taking photos with my blackberry and cant export the pics for some reason. I am going to try to attach it tomorrow at work. I am very proud of myself, I packaged up 3 swaps today, a Easter 30 day swap that I am hosting, a secret sister monthly swap, a card kit swap and these fabulous cards! They are all going postal tomorrow. They were supposed to go today but I had problems focusing at work, can you believe it? I do have a lot going on. My Saturday night surprise was not much of a surprise afterall, so not much to share. I did spend some time this weekend with a good friend so that is always a good thing. I am not sticking to my diet but plan on re starting agin tomorrow so I look good on the Bermuda cruise! Boy, can you tell how excited I am about that? Well it is after my bedtime but after Michelle yelled at me I just had to follow through and post. I can't even post on this at work, they block everything so I have to take pictures with my camera and download them tomorrow....promise!

I am headed to the gym tomorrow but I do hope to play a little before the week is over and I promise to be on here more...really!

Hi everyone, it has been a while, I can't believe I still have that snow day picture up there. I don't have much to post, I scrapped a little this weekend, helped my brothers girlfriend ( Hi Martine!) make a scrapbook for her friends party. I didn't make any cards...sigh. I have two swaps to complete but have no idea when I will get to them. I did buy some new curtains for my craft room, I love them! They are too dark to take a picture of but they are from one of my favorite stores, Pier One. Jordan is at brownies now and I am waiting to pick her up. Lately I have been spending A LOT of time on the phone at night, so I am soooo tired! Especially with losing an hour to daylight savings time, but it's all worth it, I will tell you later why :)

I am looking forward to Spring, I am doing well on my diet, and somewhat well with my workout routine! OK, well not so good but I am still going, tomorrow I will be back with my personal trainer and that means sore for a few days AGAIN! The future looks very promising and I am enjoying life to the fullest! My BFF since elementary school is treating me to a cruise in July, this is a cheer my up cruise, although she doesn't know that I am already cheered up shhhhhhhhh.. I love her to death, she is the sister I never had. I can't wait for the cruise! Something to work towards and perhaps to think of when I decide I don't want to go to the gym!

Well, I promise to write more and post some pics soon!

SNOW DAY! YAYYYY! I only wish the kids had school LOL. Well Colby is sick and I still made him snow blow, wow, I am a terrible mom. He is coming down with a cold and you know how men are, they get a cold and it is the end of the world. So I gave him some Tylenol, told him to put his gloves on get moving. He did an ok job, not the best, but not the worst! It is only 11:00 and Jordan has been outside in the snow several times, now I am making her do some school work and she is not a happy camper. She will thank me later in life. Now I have to go wrap some of my swaps, I have several going postal tomorrow and then I will hopefully have time to make some cards so I can share them with you! If you are in North East, I hope you are enjoying the clean white snow, it won't last long....

Last card for the day, I love this card and using the same color combo as the first embrace life card (don't ask why because I don't typically use these colors) I think I was having a brown day! The picture doesn't do this card justice. I love the glitter and this card has glitter on the stem and flower, really pretty in person. I am not sure my camera phone is the best to take the pictures of my works of art LOL. This is an alternate fold with the A true Friend is You Friend stamped inside. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I am going to finish some cards for a swap I am in, if I do finish I will post later! I feel my mojo coming on, so perhaps I will post it later!

OK, I know I posted another card using this exact stamp set, and don't think that I don't have 1000 other sets, but I just had these two cards that I wanted to share. Perhaps it is because I am getting into the spiritual side of me and realizing that I need to Embrace Life :)

I haven't been on in a while. I have been quite busy at work. I am going to post several things today since I haven't in a while. The first is this darling recipe box that I made at Stamp Camp. I love it! I am going to give it to one of my birthday sisters or my secret sister but I haven't decided who yet. I have to give it to someone I think will cherish it like it deserves to be cherished! I love the idea but I just don't use recipe cards, so I made it with giving it to someone dear in mind.

Sorry I haven't been on in a while, this has been a whirlwind of a week, very busy. I have been reading this book, A New Earth, I may have mentioned earlier, it is very enlightening. Well this card is inspired by that book. Embrace Life. I am trying not to sweat the small stuff. People at work have found out about my separation (through my error- I really didn't want to announce it) and have been offering their support. I am doing well, I have my good and bad days, mostly good and I am at peace with our decision and ready to move on. I am ready to find what makes me happy, and not necessarily a man. I think I have to find my happiness within before I can share my life with another again. This card is made using SU colors old olive and chocolate, it is rather simple but then again, so is Life. I also used the Embrace Life stamp set.....hope you like it.....

Hi Guys, It has been one of those days, you know, I just could not get it together. I am done for the day with work and will have yet another hectic schedule this evening. Soccer pictures for Jordan, she is excited about that, then off to pick up the last batch of Girl Scout cookies. I am so sore from my workout yesterday I can't even tell you. This personal trainer is KILLING me but I know it will pay off in the long run. I hope I can find the time to create something but it doesn't look good. Of course I have to watch American Idol too.

I am listening to a book on tape, A New Earth, by Eckhart Tolle it is really eye opening. For my bookclub, which I am hosting on Sunday, we are reading Outliers,by Malcolm Gladwell another excellent book, highly recommend both!

Vera Bradley - Cup Cake

Well I told you I would let you know what I got on VDay, I ended the night out with a friend at RedStone, it was really nice, simple but we had a great time! Although I do not have a valentine as I keep reminding you and myself, I have to say this has been one of my better Valentines Days yet. I wanted to share the best purchase of the weekend. Anyone who loves crafting probably loves Vera Bradley as well. I love her new pattern called cupcake, although I couldn't see myself with a cupcake handbag (not exactly my style of bags to carry, perhaps for Jordan) I was able to get a make-up bag and a mini notebook in the pattern. I probably didn't need to spend the $15 on a notebook at this point but it was so cute, I couldn't resist. I love Pink and I Love the color combo of this pattern....check it out....

Fun and Frilly card

OK, this is my first official card post, I hope you like it. I am entering it on Michelle's blog candy contest, for Fun and Frilly, well I thought it was fun, maybe not so frilly LOL. I love these colors and you really can't see the saying so good, but it embossed, cotton candy scented yummy. Cotton Candy is my all time favorite thing to eat! FOCUS!!! Back to the card, the sentiment reads, "It is not the destination, but the journey" I love that saying, it is so true. If we can remember that and smell the roses along the way, then life would be all the more worthwhile.

I am back from my shopping trip! What a nice relaxing day. I went to the gym for an hour, then went to Joann's, got a ew things for my Secret Sister, then went to get some new sneakers and a few other things, just spoiled myslef a little today, why not!

As you can see I have my new Header up from Michelle! Her blog is listed in my side bar (Inside my private Idaho) she created this for me so fast, isn't she genious and generous!? I love it. I am still working on changing the colors of the back ground, this is a work in progress....not bad for a novice! Well I am going to surf the net for a while. BBL

I had to post this before I left, this is the Pail I received from "My Altered Pail Swap", from Jamie, I took all of the goodies out already, it was filled with all sorts of stamping treats, I loved it all! It's a clear pail and she put the paper on the inside, so there is a smooth surface and the paper is protected. Now why didn't I think of that??? Last night we went to The cheesecake factory for a girls night out, here is a picture of me and my friend Melissa, this may have been after a drink or two..(.I got my hair cut yesterday and boy did she chop it all off! It will grow back and perhaps now I have no excuse to wear the dreaded ponytail!) We had a great time, Gini and Robin also went, the place was packed! I guess it being Valentine's day and all, lots of couples!

Valentine's day was always my 2nd favorite holiday (can we really call it a Holiday?) Although I have no Valentine at the moment, I am still a hopeless romantic and love the "idea" of the day. Today, I plan on taking time for myself and just enjoying the day. I have 2 hours before my personal trainer kills me doing my arms today, then I am going to get a pedicure (much needed). I may even treat myself to something new, perhaps a trip to the scrapbooking store that I have not been to in ages, or a new Vera Bradley bag, depends on what I am in the mood for. Whatever it turns out to be, I will share it with you when I get back!

This is a pail I made for my Swap on SCS -The Altered Pail swap. It was a fun swap with a great group of women. I had Tasha! As you can see from the pail. It was really girly and I don't think the picture does it justice. Of course I may a little bias. I used the Crew Girl Simply Scrappin Kit by SU! I love those kits. Well, Tasha loved it and I am glad because she is a special gal! She spoiled me in a secret sister swap so I was happy to be able to return the favor! I may do another one of these soon, I just love these pails!

Well my page is officially under construction. Another SCS'er is creating a header for me, she is so wonderful! I can't tell you who she is yet because she may not want me to advertise it (tehehe) but I am so happy you should see the big smile on my face. I have a girls night out tonight so I may not be able to post anything until tomorrow....but I will be back!

New Beginning

OK, seriously, I am going to do this.....it has taken me a while to get off the ground, but am determined to enter the world of Blogging. I am in a group on SCS called Battle of Bulge where we help support each other in our weight loss. Well I have been ok so far, I even went to the gym yesterday and took a kick boxing class. Luckily the instructor was not in the best of shape and I actually made it through the entire class. I am proud of myself. Tomorrow Valentine's day, I don't have a Valentine anymore (well aside from my darling children who will both be away) so I will be spending the day not alone, but with ME! I have plans to pamper myself and who can do that better than me? I am not going to be sad, I am going to look at it as a new beginning. I will let you know how I do, and I will definitely be crafting so I will attempt to post my first card tomorrow!
